Until yesterday, I was acting on the understanding that transmitting your letters in either support or opposition to SB 202 to the Asssembly Analyst would get them included in the packets that the voting members of the State Legislature would be receiving regarding this issue. THAT IS NOT TRUE! In order for your representatives, and the voting members to hear your voice, you MUST send your letters, faxes and phone calls to them directly. I have taken the liberty of posting the link to the State Assembly Site to locate your District and thus Assembly Person. Please take a moment and click on the link below to locate you district and then to find your assembly member and get their fax number to fax and mail your letters to them directly as well. http://www.assembly.ca.gov/acs/acsframeset8text.asp I have done the same process with the State Senate http://www.senate.ca.gov/~newsen/senators/senators.htp On this site, simply click on the "Your Senator" button and then get the contact information. You may also wish to cc the Chair herself - Senator Gloria Negrete McLeod. In addition, the following are methods of contacting the Committee Members to have your voice heard.
Mary Hayashi - Chair
Bill Emmerson - Vice Chair
Connie Conway
Mike Eng
Edward P. Hernandez
Pedro Nava
Roger Niello
John A. Pérez
Ira Ruskin
Cameron Smyth
Again, here is the information for getting your letters to the Assembly Analyst.

Governor's Office:
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR TOLERANCE ON THESE E-MAILS.
ALSO, I will be traveling to Sacramento on the 29th to attend Mr. Von Geldern's meeting with the Assembly Analyst and the Hearing on the 30th. We plan to visit the members who will be voting on Monday as well. If you wish to go, please contact me privately via e-mail as soon as possible so that I know whether or not I am riding with someone else or renting a van.
